Parents' Guide to the Entry-level Job Search

Last year over 80% of the Class of 2009 graduated without a job and two-thirds moved back home.  It can be a challenging time for both parent and child.  Christine Bolzan will lead a discussion sharing insight into managing the process for the parents of current college students and soon-to-be graduates.  The program will address many topics including:
  • an update on today's entry-level job market
  • information on hiring and generational trends, salary outlook and tapping into the hidden job market
  • leveraging technology for efficient networking and how best to manage a social media presence
  • strategies for supporting your child effectively but not intrusively
